Questions we get asked

Is it really free?

Yes. The free plan carries unlimited pupils, SBA entry and report cards, and does not expire. Premium adds the parent portal, Excel import and export, and AI remarks.

What happens between terms?

Premium is charged per term. If you do not renew, nothing is deleted - you keep every record and simply lose the Premium features until you renew.

Do report cards match the GES format?

There are two layouts: a GES-style report and a modern one. You choose per school, and you set your own grading bands and remarks.

We already have pupils in a spreadsheet.

Premium includes bulk import from Excel, so you upload the list rather than typing it again. Tell us what you have and we will help you shape the file.

Do parents need a smartphone?

They need a phone that opens a browser. Guardians sign in with their number and a code sent by SMS - there is no app to install.

What about our fee arrears from last year?

An unpaid balance belongs to the pupil, not the term, so it follows them when they are promoted and shows as brought forward on the next statement.

Who can see our pupils' records?

BASIC SKUUL is built and run by PaalTech, which is Data Protection Certified with the Data Protection Commission, Ghana. Every account is scoped to one school: teachers reach only their own classes and subjects, and guardians see only their own children. We do not sell or share your data, and there is no advertising anywhere in the system.
